Llangollen town centre is within walking distance and guests are surprised at the number of good quality Restaurants, Wine Bars, Bistros and Cafes that are available.

In the town there is a steam railway which departs from the old Victorian station and travels through wonderful scenery to Carrog. Here you can have snack at the station before catching the same train back, or walk to the local pub, which serves excellent food throughout the day and then return on a later train.

From the Wharf you can take a 45 minute trip on a horse drawn canal boat, or a two hour trip on a traditional canal narrow boat passing over the river Dee on Thomas Telford's towering 126ft. high aqueduct.
